Ian Anderson Thick As A Brick 2 | Jeffrey Foucault Stripping Cane | Adam Cohen Like a Man | The Civil Wars Barton Hollow |
Much better recording than the old Tull CDs ..... tracks 3, 7, 9, 12, 14, 16 | Another winner from this very talented, smoky voiced song writer. | Son of Leonard Cohen Well recorded ...tracks 1, 3, 4, 6, 8, 10 | Good acoustic instrumentals and vocal harmonies ... tracks 1, 2, 4, 6, 8, 9, 12 |
Elephant Revival It's Alive | Elephant Revival These Changing Skies | Shelby Lynne Just A Little Lovin' | Sarah Jarosz Follow Me Down |
Another offering from this very "eccentric" and interesting indie group ..... tracks 1, 2, 6 and 8 | The most recent CD from Elephant Revival ... the recording quality gets better with each new release. Tracks 2, 6, 8, 9, 10 | Some fine music, inspired by Dusty Springfield ..... tracks 3, 4, 5, 7, 8 and 10. Track 7 is worth the price of the CD. | A touch of country from this talented artist ..... tracks 1, 9, 10 and 11 |
Work of Art Lift | David Munyon Pretty Blue | David Munyon Big Shoes | Ewen Carruthers A Little Bit Of Me |
On the Soundkeeper Recordings label. Very good "live" sound. Track 7 is special. Thanks to my buddy Henry for this. | On the Stockfisch label. Another fine CD from this prolific artist with the unpolished but interesting and enjoyable voice. | On the Stockfisch label. David's covers of the songs of various artists. Amazing sound stage and very interesting versions of these tunes. | Recorded
in 2000 before hooking up with the Stockfisch label. Ewen passed away
in 2010 and this CD is available on a website that bears his name :

Michael Gulezian Language of the Flame | Antoine Dufour Existence | Erik Mongrain Equilibrium | Iron & Wine The Creek Drank The Cradle |
Virtuoso acoustic guitarist. Tracks 1, 3, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 | Another superb guitarist. Tracks 2, 3, 4, 11, 12 | Some more excellent guitar. Tracks 1 and 3 are extra good. | An interesting, laid back acoustic instrument and vocal CD. Tracks 2, 6, 8, 9, 10 |
David Munyon Purple Cadillacs | John Doyle Evening Comes Early | Mary Chapin Carpenter Come On Come On | Willie Nelson American Classic |
The latest offering from Mr. Munyon. David is quite a bit more "cosmopolitan" in his religious beliefs than I am, but tracks 2, 4, 9 and 13 are certainly excellent, especially track # 4 | The ex-guitarist from the Celtic band Solas. Some fine guitar playing and pleasant vocals as a bonus Tracks 2, 4, 5, 6, 11, 13, 14. Track 6 is my favorite. | A nice mix of upbeat songs that got some airplay and some more laid back tunes, as well. My favorites ... 3 and 12 | I heard this album for the first time at the recent CAF in Maryland. Well recorded classic tunes via Willie's unique voice. It's all good, but tracks 2 and 7 are excellent. |
